Registration for the Fall 2013-Spring 2014 season open!

DEADLINE FOR REC REGISTRATION IS SEPTEMBER 6!

Who is eligible for Rec Soccer? Boys and girls in the U5 through U12 (ASA Rec League) and U13-U19 (Suburban Friendship League) age groups. When registered, age group coordinators place players on teams, mostly by location (this is why you select the Alexandria school that is closest to your house). The ASA office does not coordinate team requests. Teams are coed for ages U5 and U6, but are separated into girls and boys teams for ages U7-U19.

What: ASA Recreational soccer league with games on Saturdays and one or two practices per week.

When: Games for the U5-U12 rec league Fall season are on Saturdays from September 21st through November 9th. Weekly practices are determined by each volunteer coach and not by the ASA office. We are always looking for coaching volunteers, so please consider this when registering your child for soccer!

After completing the registration and a few weeks before the first game date, your child’s coach will contact you via email or telephone number to let you know when and where practices and games will be. If these times do not work for your schedule, please contact the age group coordinators (click the link above) and they will work to get your child moved to a different team.

Fall 2013 games for SFL (U13-U19) teams may be starting on a different date than the ASA rec league, and will end in November. Coaches and the SFL website will have this information posted at a later date.

Required Gear: For U5-U12, each player is required to have the red and blue ASA t-shirts, which can be purchased in the ASA office. Teams playing each other will alternate colors each weekend so that the teams are wearing different colors. Players should wear black shorts with their uniform.

The following items are available for purchase in the soccer office:
Uniform tee shirts (sold as a pair of red and blue) - $15
Shin guards - $5
Black socks - $5
Black shorts - $10
Soccer ball - $15 (all players must bring a ball to practice)

U5-U12 Rec League
Before July 31st, $155 (includes $20 City field fee)
August 1st through September 6th, $175

U13-U19 SFL
Before July 31st, $175 (includes $20 City field fee)
August 1st through September 6th, $195

Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Please bring a copy of your child’s free lunch form to the ASA office to register and request a scholarship for soccer.

Please note: A copy of your child’s birth certificate MUST be received in the office for the registration to be considered complete (new players only).
