Registration for the Spring 2013 season (March to May 2013) is now open for players who are not already registered for the full year. If you need to see whether you registered for full year or fall only, please call or stop by the office as soon as possible.

Who: Boys and girls in age groups U5 through U12 (ASA Rec League) and U13-U19 (Suburban Friendship League). When registered, age group coordinators place players on teams, mostly by location (this is why you select the Alexandria school that is closest to your house). The ASA office does not coordinate team requests. Teams are coed for ages U5 and U6, but are separated by gender for ages U7-U19.

What: ASA Recreational soccer league with games on Saturdays and one or two practices per week.

When: Games for the ASA rec league (U5-U12) are on Saturdays from March 16th to May 12th with an end of season festival on May 18th. Practices during the week are determined by each volunteer coach and not by the ASA office.

After completing the registration and a few weeks before the first game date, your child’s coach will contact you via email or telephone number to let you know when and where practices and games will be. If these times do not work, please contact the age group coordinators (listed above) and they will work to get your child moved to a different team.

Games for the SFL (U13-U19) teams will be starting in late April and ending in mid-June. Coaches and the SFL website will have this information posted at a later date.

Required Gear: For U5-U12, each player is required to have the red and blue ASA t-shirts, which can be purchased in the ASA office. Teams playing each other will alternate colors each weekend so that the teams are wearing different colors. Players should wear black shorts with their uniform.

Uniform tee shirts (set of red and blue) - $15 for the pair
Shin guards - $5
Black socks - $5
Black shorts - $10
Soccer ball - $20 (all players must bring a ball to practice)
