ASA THANKS YOU FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION AND SUPPORT!

On Wednesday, April 17^th our community came together for 24 hours of giving to support the amazing work of Alexandria non-profits through Spring2ACTion, hosted by ACT for Alexandria and ACTion Alexandria. Last year, Spring2ACTion raised $320,000 for Alexandria non-profits through one day of on line giving and this year Spring2ACTion raised over $650,000!

This year was the first year that Alexandria Soccer Association (ASA) has participated in Spring2ACTion and it was a huge success! ASA set a goal of $30,000 for the fundraising event.

RESULTS:

After 24 hours of non-stop action, ASA is proud to report the following results:

$32,112 raised from 407 different donors (not including about $1,000 raised outside of the April 17th window)

$4,500 in additional funds won from the following Spring2ACTion categories:

• 3rd place in "Most Dollars" category
• 2nd place in "Most Donors" category
• 1st place in "First Timers" category

To view the final leader boards, click here. ASA enjoyed a close race all day with Casa Chirilagua, Running Brooke, King Street Cats, and about 90 more non-profit organizations in the Alexandria community.

The funds that were raised on Wednesday, April 17th, will help ASA continue to support Alexandria’s kids through our high quality and diverse soccer programs. Donations like these help us to improve our league experiences, quality of coaching, outreach programs and our extremely important scholarship fund. ASA had over 500 scholarship players just this year across all programs, funding over $100,000 in scholarships.
