Advanced Evening Camps
Striker Camp Focus: Finishing requires confidence. This camp will provide players with numerous opportunities to finish on goal in a variety of ways and game like situations. Players will be shown a number of classic finishing styles but also have the chance to improvise as necessary to create goal scoring opportunities.
Goalkeeper Camp Focus: Shot stopping involves technique, agility, reactions and awareness. Goalkeepers will be trained in how to save shots from different angles, proper footwork to prepare the body and hands, communication techniques to organize the defense and understand how to distribute the ball to your teammates to build the play and start the attack.
Technical Camp Focus: Developing the individual player in the small-sided format (1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2, 3v3, 4v3, 4v4). Players will not only learn how to beat players off the dribble and pass but where and when on the field is most appropriate within the club curriculum and philosophy of play. Through repetition and rehearsal players will build the confidence and understanding to recognize when a 1v1 situation is good for the player and good for the team.
U13-U15 Players: Each session will begin each evening with a 60 minute workout led by our Director of Injury Prevention & Fitness, Jennifer Schwartz-Biggle (coach Jenn). This is an opportunity for our players to participate in a calculated sport performance optimization routine over the four (4) evenings. Included in the 60 minute session will be core work, speed training, resistance training, footwork and plyometrics.
