Travel Tryouts for Rising U10-U19 Teams

Alexandria Soccer Association’s existing Travel Soccer teams will be holding tryouts for the 2008-09 travel soccer year in the weeks to come. General information:
·         The ASA Travel Soccer Program welcomes any current player from our Travel, Recreation and Suburban Friendship League programs, and experienced players from other area travel teams.
·         All tryouts are open, meaning that all current players must earn a slot on next year’s teams during the tryouts.
·         ASA will operate at least two boys teams and two girls teams in each age group up to U12 in the fall, so there should be more opportunities for new players than we have had in past years.
·         Most ASA girls teams play in the Washington Area Girls Soccer league (WAGS) and most boys teams play in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). A few boys and girls teams play in the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL).
See below for tryout dates, times, locations and team contacts. Driving directions to the tryout fields appear at the bottom of this announcement.
All players should wear cleats, shin guards, and socks that cover the shin guards to the sessions. Please bring a ball and water or a sports drink.
