The Alexandria Soccer Association U9 and U10 boys and girls teams got a special visit on Wednesday, October 3rd, during their practices at Simpson Field. Former ASA Player, Jorge Calix, took time out of his busy schedule to speak with ASA players and coaches.

Jorge grew up in Alexandria and played soccer for ASA from ages U5 through U9. Jorge currently plays for the D.C. United U18 Academy team and is a member of the U17 US Youth National team. He has made numerous US National Team appearances, including playing for this past December’s U17 US Men’s National Team that won the Nike Friendlies Tournament against the U17 national teams from France, Turkey, and Brazil.
